「フィリピンに渡った日本人特集」してました
相変わらず男性ばかりでした
" Japanese emigrate to the Philippines" on TV.
All are male as always.
日本は恋しくないと言いながらゴルフ三昧な毎日を過ごし
外語祭でも使ったことない巨大なボールに入ったうどん食ってました
One of them plays golf every day
and eats udon (noodles) from a huge bowl
telling that he doesn't miss Japan.
年金月２１万じゃ日本では生活できないと元警察の７０代のおいさんが言ってます
そして彼はフィリピンで第二の人生を歩んでます
確かにあんな若い奥さんと子どもがいれば年金だけでは日本ではやっていけませんね
まあ最初の奥さんとは死別だそうなので、悪くは言えませんけど
A 70 years old man, a former police man says he can't live in Japan with his pension, ¥210.000.
He started his second life in the Philippines.
Of course, he can't afford it with his new young wife and kids if they live in Japan.
Well, his first wife passed away so I shouldn't say anything.

もともといい加減な人間だったのかなー、しゃあないなーと思う反面
「幸せになりたくてフィリピンに来た」
「ずっと一人だったから誰かと生活するのもいいと思って」
という彼のことばに何だか切ない気分になりもしました

All he has now is only ¥50, he says.
People who know him in Japan say nothing good about him in the interview.
Was he a bad person?
He says he came to the Philippines to be happy.
He just wanted to be with someone because he was all alone.
Is it him to be blamed?
選挙とか色々話題はたくさんあるこの時期に
なんでこんな特集だったんでしょう。。。
I wonder why the TV station took this topic
instead of the recent election.
しかも、こんな病み気味のフィリピン語科出身の私が
めったに見ないTVつけたらこんな特集。。。
Above all, what a coincidence.
I, who once majored in Filipino studies and don't watch TV so often,
just watched the TV program like this.
なんか天からのメッセージでしょうか
