天皇陛下様を拝見した（と思われる） I saw the Emperor ( I think.)

昨日、昼過ぎランニングに行ったら
街角、街角に人のかたまりがいて
今日はなんなんかなー
お天気いいからお散歩かー
とのんきに考えとりました
When I went for a run yesterday,
I found crowds all around the streets.
I just thought "Yes, it is nice weather for a walk."

陸橋を通ろうとしたところ
スーツ着たぽっちゃりめの
可愛いおじさんに呼び止められました
When I reached an overpass,
a cute guy stopped me.

「すみません。警察です。」
「今ちょっと、待っていただけますか。」
「すみません。」
「すみません。」
"Excuse me, I am a policeman.
Could you wait for a little?"
he said.

そう言われると何が起こっているのか
聞かないわけにはいきません
I couldn't just stand there without asking what was going on
because he kept saying "I'm sorry." or "Excuse me."

私）「あのー…何されてるんですか」
警）「天皇陛下がお通りです」
"Am... what are you doing?" I said.
"Here comes the Emperor!" he said.

ちょうど、そのとき
私が警察さんの顔を向いていた
ちょうど、そのとき！！！
At that moment,
at the moment I looked at his face,,,

多分、右目の視界ぎりぎりに
黒い車が見えました(と思う)
I think I was a black car passing by.

あと、なんか歓声聞こえたし
I also heard a shout of joy.

でも
多分、警察さんがおろおろしていたのは
もしかしたら敬礼とかしなければ
いけなかったのかしら？
The policeman looked flustered a bit.
Did he have to bow to that black car?
Did I disturb him?

あまりにも間抜けな質問したので
大阪の学会でいやな気持したのも
この馬鹿さ具合と比べると屁でもない
Compared to this foolish question, 
a shame after my presentation at a conference in Osaka went away.

なんか楽になりました
I feel much better now.

日記が月記に・・・ My diary became a monthly journal

最近mixi更新頻度急降下中です。 
I haven't updated my mixi diary recently.

今日から27日まで大阪にいます。 
Asian Conference on Educationという 
新し目の怪しい学会で発表します。 
学会と言っても多分ほんとに参加費も超高いし 
誰でも参加できるんだと思います。 
そんな学会なのに本気で「一生に一回の大イベント」と思って 
見に来ようと考えてくれた親に感謝です。 
でも、そんな機会、これからいくらでもあります（という予定です）から。 
I'll be in Osaka from today till 27th.
I'll hold a presentation at a conference called "Asian Conference of Education".
Thiｓ conference is a little suspicious.
The fee is very expensive and it probably means anyone can present.
Usually, it is difficult to be chosen as a presenter at other good conferences.

初発表が学外で英語となると、怖いものはもう何も無いです。 
忘却の彼方扱いとなるか今後の糧扱いとなるかはわかりませんが。 
It is my first presentation and is in English.
Let's see what's gonna happen.

とりあえず一夜で書き上げたabstractと 
1ヶ月練った発表内容の食い違いをつっこまれないよう 
ごまかせきれたら幸いです。 

I hope no one notice the gap 
between the abstract finished in one night 
and the presentation I've been working on for a month.

きょうはopening partyです。 
やっぱりこの団体、怪しい？と思ってしまいますが 
人脈作りに励んできます。 
We'll have an open party tonight.
I try to make a broad connection...
